Calderdale Pride is self-funded and ran by a committee of volunteers. We pride ourselves (pun intended) on providing a free event for the LGBTQ+ community and its allies. In 2023, we filled The Piece Hall with a record 28,000 attendees, whilst in 2024 we saw 25,000 people flock to Halifax & Calderdale to spread love, joy and acceptance.
Our continuous aim is to empower individuals within the community to feel safe to be their true, authentic selves whilst bolstering Calderdales profile as a place of acceptance, welcoming and love for the LGBTQ+ community.
If you want the opportunity to make a visible difference by sponsoring some bunting to bring even more colour to our events and bringing larger spaces to life! As an example, The Piece Hall takes 275m of bunting to cover the railings!
Creating safe spaces is incredibly important to us and bunting is a really effective way to visually signal inclusive spaces that invites people to authentically express themselves.
